Apple Has agreed to accept a replacement battery for iphone 5

After Apple found a few complaints from users of the iPhone 5 which has a battery problem, Apple finally decided to open the battery replacement program, specifically for the iPhone 5.

Friday (22/8) afternoon local time, Apple has opened up the iPhone 5 battery replacement program after receiving a "very small percentage" iPhone 5 units that experienced a sudden drop the batteries. Or a shorter battery life or need to be filled more often.

Reporting from 9to5mac, the iPhone 5 was originally launched in September 2012, and Apple says that the unit is having problems these batteries are produced between September 2012 - January 2013.

Battery replacement program is available at the Apple Store, Apple Authorized Service Providers, and through AppleCare. Apple said that to remove the battery, the iPhone 5 that qualify the data must first be backed up by the owner, then turn off Find My Phone feature, delete all content and settings before replacing the battery system.

Apple said that so far they are not going to fix iPhone 5 with other problems such as a cracked screen. If you already pay for replacement batteries to get a new battery but still problematic, then Apple will offer a refund to you.

Replacement program is available starting today in the United States and China. Other countries will begin offering the iPhone 5 battery replacement began August 29 2014 This program is available through March 1, 2015 and does not extend the warranty of the iPhone 5.
